The concert and event hall, named after the famous composer Anton Bruckner, impresses with its outstanding architecture and excellent acoustics. The Brucknerhaus is a venue where internationally renowned orchestras, conductors and soloists offer top-class performances. Various orchestras from China e.g. Chengdu City Sinfonieorchester have been performing at the Brucknerhaus Linz. Linz and Chengdu are sister cities and use this network for international cooperations.

Numerous concerts and festivals take place in the concert hall on the Danube – the annual highlight is the International Bruckner Festival. The Brucknerhaus was built according to the plans of the Finnish architects Kaija and Heikki Sirén and opened in 1974. The unique architecture contributes significantly to the appearance of the cultural mile on the Danube. The Brucknerhaus is a venue where internationally renowned orchestras, conductors and soloists offer top-class performances. The combination of the unique acoustics and the high-quality programming make the Brucknerhaus a popular concert hall on the Danube. Every year countless concerts and guest events take place. Many of them are thematically grouped in festivals. The highlight is the International Bruckner Festival, which takes place every autumn.
