Many actors on the EU and the Chinese sides have manifested a strong interest in becoming partners of the EU-China Tourism Year. The selection process covers the travel industry, tour operators, financial intermediaries and (social) media. Once the selection completed, they will be listed in this section.
China National Tourism Administration” (CNTA) is responsible for the implementation of the EU-China Tourism Year (ECTY) on the Chinese side.
The European Commission’s “Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs” (DG GROW) is responsible for the implementation of the ECTY on the EU side.
It is helped by a steering group providing support, guidance and oversight of progress. This Steering Group is made of DG GROW (European Commission), the EEAS (European External Action Service), the EU delegation in Beijing and ETC (“European Travel Commission” managing Visiteurope).
ETC is responsible for marketing activities campaign promoting EU destinations in China during 2018, as part of its Joint Promotion Platform for Destination Europe. For the purpose of the ECTY, ETC is represented in China by its associate partner, Welcome Chinese / Select Holding, responsible for recruiting ECTY partners.”
